Hi Team,
I love my Cheaters!!!
Good game last night, we played some really good defense. I would like to get some practice in before our next game to work on fielding strategy. Sunday & Tuesday are both options, and we could even do it both nights if you would like.
Let me know which night would work best for you. If we have enough people for both, we'll do both, or else majority will rule.
I did a google search for kickball strategies (and humor), take a look at these, and bring ideas to practice!
Kickball Strategy and The Legend of Tommy the Foot
Donovan and I were thinking it would be fun to have a kickball pickup/bbq/fireworks on the 4th of July at Oregon Park. Let me know if you would be interested in coming. Friends & family are welcome!

Can someone explain this strategy to me a little better?
'After a ball is caught, runners can tag-up and run. In fact, with a runner on third and 0 or 1 out, sometimes it's worth deliberately kicking an outfield fly ball to get that run in.'
Stephanie
Basically this means that if you are on first base and I kick a pop fly that is caught way out in center field. You have the opportunity to run to 2nd or even 3rd base by the time that the ball is thrown back to the infield. However, you MUST tag up (that is, touch the base your on after it is caught) before running to the next base.
Sound about right guys?
OK I think I get it. So you can't leave the base until the moment it is caught but once it is, run like hell if it is way outfield? Strategically then you would need to know who your outfield fly ball kickers were and then be able to signal the base coaches?
Yes, that's pretty much what I'm saying. I was actually surprized to see "deliberately kicking an outfield fly ball to get that run in" called strategy, but now I understand why, and it makes perfect sense. I think you also touched on another important topic, which is having base coaches that are alert and prepared for such situations.
