Fall Kickball Updates

  1. Note that you have through Monday September 15th to finalize your rosters and sign your waivers. As of September 16th you will not be able to add anyone to your team. http://okc2008.eventbrite.com

  1. This is an important one. PPR is redoing the goals at Lents in October. We only officially have Field A and B for the tournament. We do not have a permit nor are we technically allowed on Field C and D for the tournament. What does this mean? We may have to start the tourney earlier AND we may not have a chumpionship/consolation bracket. We are still trying to figure out the best course of action but consider yourselves notified and plan accordingly for this. We are hoping that we can just show up and squat on Field C and D for the day (and play our fields inward to avoid the goal areas). Stay tuned.
  1. Please survey your team and provide ONE nomination for each category below for End off Season Awards. Nomination must be submitted by Friday October 3rd. We will post the Survey online on Monday October 6th. We will close the Survey on Monday October 13th (to give us enough time to coordinate the awards for Saturday the 18th). Social Committee may update this list or remind you of the deadline.

  1. Please survey your team and provide any End of Season Survey questions you would like considered. Any changes to how we run things? Less games, more games, increase dues, etc? Also, it would be SUPER awesome if you wrote the survey questions yourself. Otherwise I may not understand what your intention is. For instance,

## Should any 2009 vacancies in the 16 OKC spots be filled in priority of:

A. Give priority to new and excited team from outside the OKC but already veteran kickball players (from another league)

B. Give priority to a reconfigured team with at least 5 OKC members comprising their roster

C. Give priority to a new team that has never played kickball before (other than 3rd grade)

Survey questions must be submitted by Thursday October 16th. We will post the Survey on Monday October 20th (so all you sore losers can rant on us). We will close the Survey on Monday the 27th.

  1. We have $500 allotted for schwag at End of Season Tourney and Party (Saturday October 18th). Please respond with your preference. Would you rather we spend the money on:

A. patches

B. stickers (very similar to the ones already on your cars)

C. bottle openers

D. more hard alcohol at EOSP

Stay tuned for further details on the End of Season Party to be announced by the social committee.

Please plan on attending an End of Season recap meeting on Tuesday November 11th (7:00pm at Madisons unless we tell you otherwise). This is not only for captains but any concerned or interested persons (ie - tell your team). We will go over 2008 budget spending, survey results and establish volunteers for the 2009 season. My term is over and I am planning on stepping down to 'consultant' status. Note, if no one volunteers then we just won't come back in 2009. Yeah, don't play the 1-2-3 not it game.
